Default gsc v1 lip and varis cf air duct *pics*

got the gsc lip from matt and the varis duct from cloudy on the boards, thanks guys

finish on the lip looked great. fiberglass is thick and sturdy. only problems i had was the fitment in the middle part but not bad for 260 shipped new.

varis duct looks awesome. cf weave looks good and the clearcoat was flawless. install only took 15 minutes.

i cant comment for everyone but i havent had any problem with sucking water through the duct.

driven through the numerous storms plus the aftermath of katrina and not one prob.

You too? The GSC lip is good for its cost, but the amount of long distance driving has put a ton of little chips in the paint already...I'll prolly need another coat and 1-2 more of clear for it. As for the Varis Duct, for people who have a JWT or Injen, they are an easy, easy install so long as you got the nutz to carve into your front bumper. Looks great too.

SB black. Pics coming soon

Hey Lebby car looks amazing. ..I dont think I have the ballz to cut into the front bumper but that looks good...

BTW how badly has the acceleration been affected by your 20's? Still waiting on my 20" Senekas...Thinking about getting the 3.9's to offset the performance hit since they seem to be the only gears available...

Take care

thanks for the props everyone. ill try to answer all the questions

the color is daytona blue , its a stock color.

jdm,
i have the jwt popcharger. the varis duct goes well with it because it sits almost directly in front of the popchargers filter.

maximum,
the varis duct comes with screws already so i used those. i've seen other people use black screws or rivets. sick ride btw.

jux2p0ze,
yeah i got a deal for the lip. i drive 4 hours round trip to tennessee weekly. just got back last night and im suprised i had no rock chips. where did you get yours painted? the sprayglo right by me charged me 65 bucks to paint it. looked awesome.

snakebitten,
its gonna look so sick with the senekas. did you order through paul? how many more weeks? the wait time was torture but i forgot all about it when the wheels came. i did notice it slowed the car down a bit.

sin,
there is performance gains but nothing you will notice. i liked it because it goes well with the popcharger and it doesn't look that bad either.

I have a cf v1 waiting install and the varis duct as well. I have the screws that came with the duct too, but I am terrified of someone just unscrewing them and stealing it... are you at all worried about that with just screws? I was going to ask a body shop if they can put some black rivets through those holes w/o cracking the carbon fiber.

thats exactly what im worried about.

as soon as i installed the duct i thought damn it'll prolly take less than a minute for someone to steal it.

im gonna take a trip to home dept tomorrow and see if i can find some rivets. im also gonna put heavy duty double sided tape on the back so that it will take some force to pry the duct off.

ill post up on what i find tomorrow or let me know, thanks.

Good plan. I probably wont be getting all my body work done for another couple weeks, but as soon as I do I will let you know what I went with. Also, keep me posted on how you thief-proof yours too!

Thanks man...Yeah I ordered through Paul at Avalon Racing...Thanks for putting me on to him..Terrific service from Paul and Avalon. Will deffinately be doing business with them later...I guess its about 3-4more weeks of agony lol....

Are you thinking of using the 3.9 gears to gain back some of the lost acceleration? I was wondering if there was 4.xx gears that would compensate better for the 20" rims. My car is too new[not even 1k miles yet] for me to consider FI..I like my warranty But FI would solve the problem ...Later Lebby..

can't wait to see those wheels. we can be long lost twins. never seen a set of 20 inch senekas on a Z.

yeah i did consider the gears but my car is now out of warranty so i rather but that cash into a supercharger or turbo.

i recently raced my bro in our dads supercharged C32 AMG. he ripped me like 5 new anuses. ever since then i wanted some sort of FI.

Hehe....soon as I get em Ill post pics of em on the Z....Yeah I know bout them AMG Benz's...I dont mess with em unless its in the twisties....I saw a SL65 lay waste to a C6 Vette badly...We dont stand a chance in a straight line...FI for me too in the distant future or if the opportunity arises a Z06 or GTS....later

Where did you see an SL65 in NYC? With enough space to have a race w/Z06 no less?
Just curious, I have not seen anything more the 55AMG or 600...
