lol, Im sure your talking about this pic of the full race F50, I assure you its a bad angle, but yes theres only about 2" of room between the splitter and the wall We are offering our full paint protection package(bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, door edges, and area behind door handles) to forum members for $595 installed with full 5 year warranty, and our 40mil. high impact headlight protection kit for an additional $75 installed. This is an internet special for forum members so it will likely be a bit more elsewhere. Keep in mind though that price is completely subjective when comparing skilled labor, much like getting your car painted, you can always find someone to do it cheaper

I don't have my Z yet, but I should in a few months (the wait is horrible)... Should I wait to get the clear bra? How does this product handle cleaning, do you need to be gentle around the edge? Also, who's the best person to install it in LA/Orange county? If nobody can recommend anybody... then I can drive up to the Bay Area and have it done up there; although I want to avoid a long drive like that for fear of getting scratched before the bra is put in...

My Z comes in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if anybody in South (or even North) Jersey or Phila area have had a good install done.

Thanks Krinkov! I've been following the 3m clear bra threads for months and it seemed like everyone who recommended an installer was in California.

hmm, water bubble and moisture under the film will evaporate over time, but air bubbles MUST be removed. We usually use a small hypodermic needle to get them out. if you are sure they are air bubble and not water bubbles I would get down there and have them taken out!

yes, the adhesive cures over time and will smooth out considerably. It may take a few months in the winter time though since temperature is a factor.

For the curious, I can vouch for Krinkov(Jeremy). He's a good guy who does a great job!

He put the clear bra on my car and it looks great. It took about a week for the adhesive to dry and it has saved me several times with small rocks flying off the road!

Guys,
The transparent paint protection offered by 3M works, and looks great, when it's properly installed. It can be removed without doing any damage to the paint. The main impact area is the lower bumper on a 350. It's a good idea to do the hood, fenders, and mirrors. Eventually, the paint is going to take a chip in those areas as well. The film will shine like the paint with a quick-polish. Zaino's spray polymer makes it so slick that bugs and road debris wipe right off. As far as price is concerned. What's a few dollars spent, on a car you love. The convenience of not having to take it off the front end every-time you wash your ride should be reason enough to go that route vs. the old black bra. Who wants the friction of a bra doing more damage to their paint job anyway. The standard thickness for the 3M Scotchcal is 8 mil, but for you speed freaks, you can get 15 mil for more protection. Anyone in South Florida looking for a quality installation or more info for their new Z. WWW.autosupershield.com ask for Pepi at 561-367-0101.

that's my silverstone after Jeremy installed the clear bra. Great job! Love it! Don't think twice - do it. I drive the infamous 880 freeway in the bay area daily and it (the clear bra) does it's job. Thank Jeremy!!!!!!!

What's happening PEPITO? I just wanted anyone who is in the South Florida area to know that Pepi at autosupershield did an excellant job on my car. I would highly reccomend him to anyone. The pictures are kinda small, but there are 3 pictures of my car on his website. It the silver one. I'll try to take some more detailed ones and post them.

Thanks

Lightbulb hey Jeremy....

I thought I'd add some input here....

To those in the Northeast, here's what we can do:

Notice how nicely the film follows the edge of the bumper...

As you can see, customers are really concern with their bumpers up here in NYC. The whole hood can be cover too!

I had my new Brickyard 350Z done by Edre at Envisage Design Labs in Torrance, Ca and they did a "GREAT JOB" at a very reasonable price. If you live in Southern Ca and drive the 91 FWY it would be wise to protect your paint from the numerous paint chips you are sure to get without protection. I highly recommend them, so give them a call at 310-787-7544. Runman06
