Honestly, never ever EVER buy lambo doors from eBay. You cannot skimp on this mod. Either get the best quality hinges money can buy, or don't get them at all. Try www.gtfactory.com. I am sure members with lambo doors will guide you better. Good luck!

EDIT: The above only applies if you are actually planning on doing this mod

With the exception of kcobean's car... all Zs that I've seen with these doors look really awful. No reason to "pose" your vehicle as a supercar when in reality it's nowhere near it. But you guys would be ready to yak if you have ever seen these on a civic coupe.

Yup! Civics look ugly with lambo doors. In fact, every car looks ugly with those unless it satisfies two requirements: It is a thoroughbred 2-dr sports car, and the windows recede directly into the roof. Z satisfies both, and is a perfect candidate for them. As long as the hinges are of a reputable brand and installation is top notch, they look great on Zs, IMO.

By the way, they are called Lambo Doors as Lambos were what made them famous, NOT because they are only meant for Lambos. If that were the case, other exotics and even cheap Japanese sports cars (e.g. Toyota Sera; found everywhere except NA) wouldn't have them.

So scarface, my man, go for them if you can get them from a d@mn-reputable brand and have an equally good installer put them in. Best of luck!

I have to say I have been talking to a couple of installers and guys who have put these in.... You MUST make sure the kit is from a reputable company. A cheap copy saving you $100's will be offset by the increased installation costs. And accept the fact that over time people will not close the door properly and the hinges/frame might get bent and chipped. I love the look no doubt. Kelly's car just looks AWESOME!!!!

Three reputable companies are Decah, GTFactory, and Verticaldoors. Decah and VerticalDoors are basically the same kit. I've seen them side by side and there is no differnce.GTFactory door kit require much more modification than the other two and also require their modified door panels. I havent had any problems with my Vertical Door kit.

Mind telling me how much you bought yours and what is a reasonable price for installation!

the best vertical door kit in terms of quality and reliability I believe is LSD. Also the highest priced. But I do like the GTFactory styling better though.
