Default question on sealing headlight after painting

Watup, Ive painted my headlights and when I sealed the headlights back up, the right one was getting condensation on the inside. I took the headlight out and resealed with a helluva amount of silicone. I am pretty sure its sealed but when I sealed it, there was water still inside and there is still water in it a week and half later. Will it ever dry naturally or is it still leaking?? Thanks

After sealing the headlight, you should make sure there's no trapped moisture in it. I would just use a blow dryer to make sure the insides of the lights were all dry before re-installing the light bulbs.

I can tell you for a fact that there was trapped moisture inside.

Other than posing a threat to my HID bulb, will moisture hurt anything else. Also, if the headlight is sealed, is it possible that the moisture could still be in there for almost 2 weeks w/o drying up?

If you re-installed the HID bulbs before making sure any trapped moisture had evaporated than yes it would be trapped in there. When the headlight bulbs are installed, the headlight assembly is water tight so any moisture left in there stays in there. This is assuming that you resealed the headlights properly.

use a dessicant tied up in a peice of cloth. put in through the turn signal hole with a string attached. that might help clear up any excess moisture after a few days. Then reattach everything. If you still find moisture but up after you removed all the moisture with the dessicant then you know you light are not 100% sealed.

thats a real good idea.. use dehy-copper sulfate. leav it in there in a porous clothe lik cotton over an hour and itll work like a charm
