Is the main opening in the bumper the same size as the opening on the OEM Bumper (well.....minus the bar running throug the middle) ????

That's exactly what I want to do. Have the middle bar removed and replace it with a grille. I figure the grill will give the bumper the same sort of support that the middle bar would.

If this is in fact true...that they are the same size....I am one step closer to figuring out the exact exterior set-up I want.

yea I believe they are the same size. I measured it right when i got the bumper, mine is still sitting in the garage b/c i am also contimplating about cutting that bar out and the license plate bracket, or just the little bracket but then the bar will be flimsy.... im still undecided, but thats a good idea with the grill. If i cut the little license plate bracket out then use a grill to support the middle bar it might work.

Give it a try...and then post pics when you're done

I plan on removing the entire middle.......the bar, the license plate bracket...all of it.

Love to see this too! I just got the Aerosync and also have a new billet that I was going to install in the factory bumper before I bought the Aerosync. Install won't be for a few weeks. I do not like the little license plate bracket, the bar is fine but agree that the bar would not be strong enough by itself. I was going to paint just the license bracket black, bumper and bar will be Chrome Silver to match. Also thinking of adding some mesh in that scenario. Choices!!

Anybody have pictures of any mod's to the Aerosync??

We had a local customer who did this. He had the middle bar cut out and put a grill behind it. Wish I had the pictures though....

Car goes in Monday for Aerosync, Greddy sides and rear apron!!

My bodyshop friend and I came up with the idea to cut the license plate tab off, then used some filler to strenthen and solidify the center bar. I will attach mesh also for some extra strength and for show Saw it Friday and looks much better w/o the license tab!! Very strong with no wiggle!

Pictures will follow in about a week!

Vicki781, what brand is your bumper, it looks different, the front air dam appears to be a separate piece compared to Jelvick. Yours appears to be what I looking for as it still appears stock, while opening up the air flow for my intercooler.
