Default Which HID color for a redline?

I was thinking 10000k (blue), but come to think of it, 12000k (purple) would look good on a redline, since it's got a touch of red. What do you guys think?

1. 10000k (blue)

2. 12000k (purple)

why dont you go with a lower temp and have lights that do a better job of lighting up the road? I would rather have functionality over excessive coloring when it comes to lighting. You can get both of these colors at a lower temp, and still have much better light output. My .02

I have 10k on my redline and it looks gorgeous. As far as functionality unless you drive in the boonies your eyes genrally do the job you dont need lights that stretch 300 yrds like the sock ones.

So what your eyes shut off at night? Like I said I've driven in dark as hell places and in rain where you cant see **** and somehow I see just as much of the road as I need to with highter temp bulbs so it shouldnt be a determining factor. If you want a different color do it. Worse case scenario use your brights if your out in the middle of no where and you dont think you can see enough of the road to know when a cow is ahead of you. I mean my Z is practically an inch off the ground so maybe I've just got accustomed to paying extra attention to the road that the lights arent a problem for me but its not that hard.

PLEASE god dont go above 6k!!! You are going to get bulbs that just have a colored film over them, I wouldnt not by bulbs from anyone but phillips and they only offer 6k (or 6500 i cannot remember.) If your looking for that blue flicker that the BMW's and S2000's have bulbs are not the way to go. To get that color you need a full projection system, and all the color comes from the cutoff.

dont listen to hockey.....6000 arent that blue.....and my bulbs are clear...
they become purple as they heat up....there is no colored film over them..phillips aint nothin but some overpriced bulbs....The ones you're looking at are the ones that I put on my car...like I said I'll take a pic tonight so you can see exactly what they'd look like....granted my cars a G35c but you'll get
the idea. Trust me I get stoped all the time about my lights with people complimenting them...Even people who arent car nuts ask me because of the brightness and the color.

There lights are bluish at the cut off not from an angle. In a projector there is a shield that blocks light on the top to not blind oncomming traffic. That shield is what makes the cutoff and the cutt off is where the color is. Angle has nothing to do with it height does. If you look at at BMW HID from the top is is semi-blue but if you go lowwer to the cut off there is tons of color, and there is even more if your color mod the shield. Please go ask your question and do some research here. Also full projection gives you the "flicker" effect which is far more beautiful than ANY high kelven bulb!

DuPontG35 I promise you if you pull your bulb out it will have a film over it. I am pretty sure no company makes a 12k bulb, there just another kelven rating with a film over it and 12K is just the color not its actual heat.
