Default Powdercoated engine parts

Parts are powdercoated by Mike Golding

http://www.thepowdercoater.com for more info

Don't mind the fingerprint smudges on the intake pipe

Due to the lighting, the parts may look different, but everything was powdercoated with a chrome black powder. The yellow is a custom mix to match my paint.

Powdercoating work looks great. There are other members on this forum who have had great success working with Mike and who are extremely happy with the outcome.

For the relatively inexpensive pricing he offers, you CANNOT beat the quality of the work. Mike's not happy until you are happy and he will work with you to get the job done right.

Please contact him if you are interested.

The valve covers are plastic so, they can't be powercoated.

Was it polished or bead blasted first? Did it come out very flat looking or shiny?
Got any pics of it?

It was cleaned, outgassed and then a layer of red powdercoat applied (usually use a chrome base, but Mark wanted it very dark red). Next a translucent red powder topcoat was applied.

thanks. I was just curious because some of the them I've seen powdercoated came out very flat and textured (due to the stock plenum texture).
I'm thinking of doing something with mine too (either powdercoated or anodized), I'll be in touch

Here is the one I just did for GdriverinZ. There is a tiny amount of texture to it, but not much. It just depends on the quality of the job.
