yea but it looks so much better without hoodpins.

how much lighter is a carbon hood than the Z hood anyway, that thing feels super light to me to begin with, I dont see spending $500+ to save 15 pounds and risk having it blow off on the highway or having it cut my head off in an accident.

The CF hoods are not much lighter than the stock aluminum hood, if at all. You won't save 15 pounds, that's for sure. It's all about the looks.

I would not say its "all about the looks" .. Its also about venting out HEAT more better... hehehe.. more better'er .. OK.. step away from the PC..

Looks or Safety? i'd choose Safety... besides. the Pins are more race car look anyway. so whatever style you're going for..

as for the weight.. my CF hood weighs the same as my aluminum hood. however i am gonna hack up my hood for vents and try to reduce some of the excess weight.. so it'll end up being lighter. sure it'll flex a bit, but i'm going for performance gain over looks.

if you dont want to spend the money on a hood and risk your head, then dont get it. simple as that.
