If you know how to take it off, I'll buy you a 6 pack of your choice.

I have a base so I'm putting the OEM medal pedal in it's place but I've been trying to take off the damn pedal and it won't come off.

Take a screw driver, put some kind of cloth over it to keep from scratching anything and just unsnap the black clip on the back of the pedal. lay down in the car and look under the pedal.
Its about a 5 minute job at best.
If i remember correclty you dont have to be to careful with the old gas pedal because the new one has all new mounted hardware.

I unsnapped the black clip but it broke in half so the other half of the black clip is still sitting back behind the pedal. GRRRRRR
