I wanted to ask you about parking lights and the license plate lights. What LED bulbs do you recommend? I keep buying 168 type white ones from superbrightleds.com and yea they work and theyre bright enough, problem is, they keep dying on me every 2 - 3 months, and changing the LED in the headlight housing as you now is a royal pain in the ***. What would you recommend I use and where should I buy it from? Also what do you recommend I use for the front turn signal bulbs. One of the two is half dead and the other is perfect. I love the way they look but damn its frustrating when they dont last

Thanks for your help!

My superhright.com's kept burning out as well. I bought a set from ARES (forum member) and they have been installed for a while. Still working strong.

The set of lights he bought were from ARES, not me. Ares makes Luxeon Star parking lights. The superbright led bulbs are decent, but I too have had issues with them burning out. I would say the best thing to do is to make your own array and retrofit it into the housing. I have found that this is much more reliable than buying a plug and play bulb.

Yeah, look at the website with the original diagram. Look right under the 10 LED Sequential, at the 18 LED circuit. There's a cap and resistor add-on that goes to the reset pin I think. Here's a quote.

"When power is applied, the 15K resistor and 10uF cap at pin 15 will reset the counters to the zero count where pin 3 is at +12 and all other outputs are at zero."

Hey guys, I just want to get a feel on the initial interest for the group buy. If everything goes right, I will start the group buy on May 1st. The target price for the sequential turn with stock reverse lights will be around $450. I will have many options available including the luxeon reverse lights and just a constant on/off led array. The price will vary with each option. If you are interested in participating in the group buy please put your name on the list. I will have more info and prices the closer we get to May.

Honestly I'll be done with school around the 8th of May. I think I will have enough free time.

Good idea. I guess I need to get "Inventor" status or something huh?

I will likely be very interested in LED non-sequential turn signal + Luxeon reverse depending on price. Could we get an idea on what that option would cost?

The problem is the decade counter output voltage is not high enough to trip the SCR. Use the exact ones I linked you to. Other than that man, you're on your own.
