Sequential Rear LED Turn Signal Retro
Looks good. I think I saw your car at the 3/11/2006 meet. Sorry, I didn't read through the 6 pages of posts...but did you or anyone mention anything about a slower flasher?
I did this sequential tails mod to my Mustang that I had, and the kit came with a slower blinker/flasher so that you could really see the affects of it. The only downside is that you're front flashers are really slow...could be a little unsafe at times.

If you really want to be able to "see" the effect, all that would require is less segments. Instead of 9 segments, I would only do 3. But, the entire purpose of doing 9 segments is so the effect is smooth. Let me know if you want in on the group buy.

Awesome. Thanks guys.
Here's a run down of the projected prices.
Solid LED Array with Stock Reverse Lights ~$340
Solid LED Array with Luxeon Reverse Lights ~$440
Sequential LED Array with Stock Reverse Lights ~$420
Sequential LED Array with Luxeon Reverse Lights ~$520
There is also the issue of housings. Since I am an individual and not a company, I cannot afford to purchase new housings for each of the conversion. I will set up an exchange system. I will ship the first person on the list the setup they pay for, then they will ship be back their stock housings. I will have 2 in house sets, so I should be able to ship sets out quickly. The order will be according to whoever is on the group buy first. If you do not wish to wait for housings, or want to keep your own, then I will order brand new housings for your specific order. That will also add $160 to the price of the turn signals. Feel free to post any questions/concerns/comments.
Current List:
1. Krank (all in)
2. usmanasif (maybe)
3. Havok_RLS2

With the housing-exchange system you've devised (pretty smart, by the way!), I will HAVE to have the car here before giving you the green light, and I can't make all others wait on me. So I will contact you after the car gets here.

Hey Acree, can you post up a DIY of how to remove the rear bumper? Or actually a DIY of how you get the rear turn signals out? I was under the impression the whole bumper has to come off to get those suckers out.
BUMP
BUMP
It does have to come all the way off. Here's a few basic steps:
1. Take out both tail light assemblies.
2. With a 10mm socket and atleast a 2" extension, take off the bolt that was under the tail light assembly. You will see it if you get down lower and look in the bottom corner. One on each side.
3. Unscrew one bolt on each bottom side of the bumper.
4. Unscrew one bolt on each side inside the fender well.
5. Get under the car and pop out the 2 retaining thingies.
6. Pull the passenger side out a little ways until you see the last retaining clip.
7. Put a small flathead screw drivers under the retaining clip between the body and the clip, NOT the bumper and the clip. There will be a clipping mechanism on opposing sides of the clip, so you need to push each one into the clip while pulling it out. Once you push in both sides, it will come out of the body.
8. CAREFULLY - Pull at the top part of the bumper between the 2 tail lights to pop lose the retaining clips.
9. Do the same to the clip on the driver's side.
10. Optional - Undo the wiring harness for the license plate lights, and both turn signal assemblies. You can take both turn signal assemblies out without unclipping the wiring harness from the license plate lights and leaving the bumper somewhat attached to the car.
11. On each housing, there are only 2 philips head screws on each side. Unscrew them and the housing will come out.
I will have a full step by step instruction set with pictures and steps that will ship with the turn signals. Hope this helps Hockey.

The quantity fully depends on the number of people who order them. I will make a set as soon as I receive payment from that individual. The chip I am using allows me to flash new chips instantly. The price will go up around $75-$100 after the group buy ends.
