oh also in the process in which you stated, does that mean the housing in which the buyer recieves will be that of the last person? if so does the condition of the housings not bother you, as one may be more damaged than anohters?

Good questions. The group buy will end 4 weeks after the original start date. Since I currently have finals to attend to in the next 2 weeks, it looks like the start date may be pushed to the second week in May. Regardless, it will end 4 weeks after the starting date.

As far as housing condition is concerned, yes that is an issue that will be addressed in the following manner. Whenever someone places an order for what ever configuration they wish, on top of the posted price, they will also need to place a deposit of $160. I will hold this deposit until I receive their housings. I will thoroughly clean and inspect both housings. After I have confirmed the housings are undamaged and acceptable, I will refund the deposit in full. If one wishes, they can just pay $160 for completely new housings. This price is not inflated, and is exactly the same as one would pay for a set of brand new housings with wiring harnesses included. I see this as the best way to handle the housing issue.

If there is any issue with a customer's housing, I will take it up with them through phone or private messages. If we can not both come to an agreement about how to handle the situation, then I will simply return the housings to them, and keep the deposit to purchase a new set.

Feel free to ask any more questions.

1. Take out both tail light assemblies.
2. With a 10mm socket and atleast a 2" extension, take off the bolt that was under the tail light assembly. You will see it if you get down lower and look in the bottom corner. One on each side.
3. Unscrew one bolt on each bottom side of the bumper.
4. Unscrew one bolt on each side inside the fender well.
5. Get under the car and pop out the 2 retaining thingies.
6. Pull the passenger side out a little ways until you see the last retaining clip.
7. Put a small flathead screw drivers under the retaining clip between the body and the clip, NOT the bumper and the clip. There will be a clipping mechanism on opposing sides of the clip, so you need to push each one into the clip while pulling it out. Once you push in both sides, it will come out of the body.
8. CAREFULLY - Pull at the top part of the bumper between the 2 tail lights to pop lose the retaining clips.
9. Do the same to the clip on the driver's side.
10. Optional - Undo the wiring harness for the license plate lights, and both turn signal assemblies. You can take both turn signal assemblies out without unclipping the wiring harness from the license plate lights and leaving the bumper somewhat attached to the car.
11. On each housing, there are only 2 philips head screws on each side. Unscrew them and the housing will come out.

I will have a full step by step instruction set with pictures and steps that will ship with the turn signals. Hope this helps Hockey.

awesome thanks for the answers acree....seems like a good and fair process....i think this is my last questions....model year should not matter right? as of now theyre all basically the same right? as in fitament, harnesses, etc?
and
how fast is the estimated turnover?
and
im not sure if acree would know this....but if anyone in socal can shed some light on whether lights like these would be illegal? jw cuz they are kind of distracting...

Fitment, yes these will fit on any Z, 03-06. Everything will be strictly plug and play. Assuming I have a new set of housings on hand waiting to be converted, I will be able to complete a full set in 2-3 days.

Just FYI courtesyparts.com sells the housing alone w/out the light bulbs for 54.99 each. That makes it much cheaper than the $160 a pair price.

Ah good point BUT, for this conversion I have to use the housing with the harness. Those are $62.63 a piece. So once I buy 2 of them, I am looking at $125.26. Then once I add $10-15 bucks of shipping, I figured the extra $15-20 was more than fair for my time and effort in ordering new housings. I have been looking into using an aftermarket housing from ebay that has a completely clear housing. These housings are around $100 bucks. I might decide to offer these also.

Found these on E-bay, however Don't think they will work well for this application.

When you unlock the car, the flash pattern is pretty much the same length as a normal turn signal period. When you lock the car, the car sends a signal that is exactly half of the unlock period. So, 5 out of the 9 segments light up, twice.

If your Z doesn't turn the signals on when you unlock the car, and does NOT honk when you lock it, hold down lock and unlock at the same time while you are near the car. This will change the mode to flash when unlocked, and flash/honk when locked. To change it back to the more quiet, lock only flash mode, just hold them down again.
