Default DIY crew: painting this car emblem?

Here's the emblem i have for my car:

What i wanna do is paint the black red (to match my car) and paint the dark silver black. How do i do this?

For the red, to get a perfect match, i'd have to (i think?) use the factory touch-up paint for my car. But it can't be sprayed, so i'd have to brush it on? How do i do this without leaving brush-marks?

And how do i tape everything off, or whatever it is that i have to do in order to make this nice and neat? The red on black should be easy, but painting the thin silver lines black, once the red is already on may be tricky.

I also have to shave a few mm of plastic off the back of the badge to make sure it's flush to the surface of the car when i glue it on. Suggestions? I tried using sandpaper with somewhat mediocre results. I'll try another type.

I usually order my paints from http://www.paintscratch.com/. They can match based on VIN number and you can get it in spray cans

Take the black off, mask the Z and outside trim ring (id used automotive masking tape) tack cloth it, then primer the metal, next you can use the touch up paint in a airbrush and spray it on, For the next step go to a automotive paint supplier and get a pint of du-pont or PPG clear coat and activator. They mix per instruction and airbrush the clear over the paint. Once dry take a exacto knife and cut around the areas that have the masking tape, then peel off the the tape.
