Depends on what kind of light you are looking for. I put some 6000K lights in my friend's 330i and they are just right IMO. I would not go any further than that as you start to lose the visible light and it becomes too purple.

I don't recommend anything above 6000k as far as functionality. You won't see crap.

Not true you still see plenty just not as far as with stock hids. I have 10k bulbs and I drive just fine even in the worse rain storms in Tampa doesnt get much worse than that. My only advice is be prepared to pay more attention to the road at night. I'm assuming you are doing this as a appearance mod and 8-10k bulbs do look gorgeous so if you can sacrifice a little more light distance gof or it.

But there is no need for 8-10K bulbs which reduce visibility when 6K lights are significantly more purple than 99% of the cars on the road and still provide excellent visibility.

True but I liked the bluer look of my 10ks. I never had the intent to get them but a buddy got them on his G and they were gorgeous. It's a too each their own thing it really matters what color you want and how much you are willing to lose by going that direction.

never heard of them. there are tons of aftermarket bulb companies out there and most of them are crap. if you were just buying halogens I'd say go ahead, who cares about $20. but w/ HID's I'd only go w/ a well known brand like phillips.

The blue and white are on different ends of the spectrum. The whites will be the lower numbers below 5K and the blue will be above 6K.

I thought the exact same thing about the purple color until I saw them in person.....pretty badass IMO. They are very neutral colored when driving around yet have an incredible glow from outside the car.

stick with Osram and Phillips OEM. Google and ebay to find the best price.

You are kidding right? You loose almost 50% of lumen output running 10k lights when compared to most 4300K lights. I never understood why people are so interested in dirving around with purple lights. Not only is your night vision severely compromised you look like Barney the purple dinosaur cruising down the street.

Also, no reputable bulb manufacturer makes anything over 6000K. All these 8000K+ are mostly sourced out of China and are cheap.

Anybody know anything about McCulloch replacement bulbs? www.xenonking.com I believe

I've already ordered these today so hopefully they are quality.

In regards to superhids.com I didn't see anything noting a brand on their bulbs. ?
