Question Splash Guards

I ordered a chrome silver with splash guards. The more pictures I see, the more I am convinced that I would like the car better without the splash guards. I called the dealer and they say it is too late to have Nissan cancel the option (the car is due in Feb.) My question is, will it be ok to remove the guards when I get the car? I am concerned with potential unsightly holes or paint issues. Any thoughts?

I've read here that there are only either one or two screws per guard, and they are easily removed. They may even be drilled into a plastic area.

Do a search, and you should find some discussion.

I think you will like the splashguards. When you look at the rear, they really make they car look lower to the ground. I think they are very well desinged and I like the look. Your car will probably get trashed in the back without them.

Aren't they installed by the dealer? If they won't remove it from your order, why don't you see if you can get them to just not install them, and then sell them?

Port installed, not dealer.

Thanks for the responses. So is it safe to say that if/when I remove the splash guards, that there will not be any paint issues? (ie. scratches, paint fades etc.)

When I picked up my car on 12/28 after a 5 1/2 month wait I was surprised to see the guards. I did not order them since I had no way of knowing what thet looked like. The dealer had no clue that they were on the car and I did not mention it because they may have pulled some dealer BS and charged me for them. I love the fronts but not in love with rears. I will keep them on for now. Thank you to the port workers for free guards, even if I remove the rears I still got free fronts.

my opinion: I like the splash guards on the front but on the back, they look out of place. Doesnt flow like the front ones do. Also, both guards make the car less sports car for young people and more like cruiser for older aged.
