I will worry about the price as soon as I can actualy get a supplier. Honestly, I can not even find anyone selling any new CF cloth. All the suppliers have is OLD stock of colored CF...
You know of any suppliers let us know. I might just buy a whole bolt....

infused carbon of course. Many aircraft guys are switching to infusion because it's cheaper. If you look at a test panel for an infused part and a prepreg part.....the characteristics are very similar.

This is an infused Nissan S14 CF door.....without skeleton. The last pic is hard to see but it weighed in at lil above 3lbs.

Strength is pretty damn good. Even infused FRP is strong as hell.

Since carbon supply is very limited........i'd rather see the market with quality carbon parts that hold value rather than a bunch of cheap quality hoods.

If there is anything that needs to be lightened up in the Z, its doors and hatch. The Z's hood isn't exactly light, but not that heavy either.

A dry carbon door or hatch will cost sooo much but lightening those would help shave off some lap times.

Project is on the shelf since no one wants this kind of stuff or if they do they are not willing to pay for it.

Kognition Design is working on a front splitter, doors and a vented dry carbon hood for the 350Z. I hope to have some prototpye parts on my car in time for the track day at Buttonwillow the weekend of Sept. 30th.

These are super high quality parts made from tri-axial carbon (like the stuff used on the Stealth fighter). When you see them, you'll flip!
