Default led questions

Is it true that aftermarket led can't be used in the headlight housing because the heat destroys the led after a month?

I couldn't search led since it has 3 charaters.

Anyone have led in the headlights that lasted more than 1 year?

fairly certain that is not true mine are going on 2 years for both the turn signals, parking lights, and almost 3 years for the reflectors(though thats not in the headlight housing)

some LED bulbs burn themselves out, or so Ive heard, not enough testing with the multitude of brands to say which do and which dont. some of the cheaper brands overdrive the LEDs to say their brighter.
