You guys must not be familiar with Signal if you are knocking the car based on paint alone.

i don't think the paint job was meant to be the highlight of the car...they probably wanted to draw attention to the car, and let people know they're coming out with serious ish for the z...and since Signal is a respected company, some people would be on the edge of their seat waiting,,,i know i am....does that make cents?

The first time I saw this paint/process was on a Saleen Mustang. It is definitely an interesting effect. It has been pretty popular for show cars the last several years.
Is it the paint that you all don't like? Or is it the hood?
I don't know about the hood myself. I will hold off on a final decision. I think a lot of this stuff is difficult to decide on without seeing in person.

From past experience, I believe the paint (or at least one maker of this type of paint) is by Dupont and its called Chromilusion-- I hear it is extremely expen$ive-- like to do a whole car costs $5-$10K, at least this is what I've heard in the past
