I dunno how much people normally charge to shave emblems but $520 isn't unreasonable.

paint is extremely expensive... 520 might be the best you can do

$520 is a little high.
i don't quite remember exactly how much i paid to my the emblem shaved and repainted, but i think it was somewhere like high $200- low $300 price range and this included a repaint for a v1 lip.

Man, for less than that, I got the rear windshield wiper hole shaved, rear emblems shaved, whole hatch repainted and whole front bumper repainted.

The thing about shaving the emblem is it's urethane and in 6 months you will see where the emblem was because of flexing. Just purchase a bumper like Karumaz without the emblem.

that typical price. Unless you know the owner of the shop then the price will be lower.

200 for paint+labor (this is a actual quote I received for sand/primer/respray for 350z front bumper), 50 at MOST for shaving the front emblem.. i mean.. common, how hard is it to fill in a dimple that's 2x2 inches???? Any other price is ridiculous.

The price will greatly change depending on where you live. I searched all over Where I live to have my Nismo spoiler painted. The cheapest price was $250. Most wanted $400. Sure I had a few quotes for $225-275, cash only and no waranty. The chaepest price is not always the best price. If you don't care what it looks like, then the lowest price is the way to go. But, if you want it to look like it came out of the factory that way or better, then check around and make sure the shop you choose has a good rep.. Make sure the shop will stand behind their work and make any repairs if their workmanship fails.

Are you saying that because the price is low, the quality is low as well? Interesting...
