Default Home Made License Plate Holder

Lol.... so i decided I refuse to pay 70 bucks for that Stillen lisence plate holder... nor do I want to pay 40+ for the Zee Bracket (yes I'm poor)

So what did I do? Thats right I made my own.

Materials

- Dealer plates (the ones where they advertise on)
- 4 screws from homedepot
- 2 metal pieces from my really old "Steel-Tech" game (lol)

1st, I measured where I want to place the lisence plate, and then I drilled 4 holes in the dealer plate. I then popped the hood and fitted the "Steel Tech" plates behind the grill.... screwed them on. I covered the dealer plate in duct tape so it doesnt scratch my bumper. Then I got my plates bought 2 stainless steel screws. Screwed it on and Bam!

Here is the end result...total cost :2-3 bucks?

See i am poor now

I am a college student. I had an appartment back in Poland which my grandmother sold for me so that I could buy myself a car. Then all my life all the money that I earned or recieved as gifts were put to the bank.

Then with the proper guidance I invested alot of it. Cd's stocks etc. That earned me a little extra.

So now that I commute all that money is going to the car/college/insurance etc =)

Plus I felt as if why pay 70 bucks for something that I could also make.

And yes it may scratch my lip... thats why i am buying a small black hose or something that i will wrap the outside of the plate. It looks pretty good IMO.

Now with my job if I get any cash that I can save up I may invest in modifications... and maybe a real plate holder... but i like this one alot =)

Edit: Before I get flamed for selling an apt (which is a good investment) to buy a car (bad investment).... I must say that this apt was located in a very very bad area in Warsaw. And its market value was acutally falling. Plus it caused alot of troubles. We were afraid of something breaking there or people breaking in, and so on. Long story short.... I love my Z

Pretty sharp. Package and sell it on eBay for $29.85. Call it the kabs-Zbracket.

Sometimes, it's not the case that you're poor or not...

just can't think of a reason why I have to pay 50 or 70 bucks for that license plate holder...

check out my license install. Just some zip ties and metal cutters. Cut the plate to fit to curvature of bumper.

I used the black plastic part that holds the license plate and 2 zip ties. I think i flipped it upside down so the license plate doesn't rub against the bumper.
