Default headlight question.

ok this is the situation i have a base model Z(non HID) and someone offered me to trade their track model 03 z's headlight (HID)due to some stuff. i was just wondering if it would be just a straight headlight swap? will the housing and everything work on my base model or will it not fit?.thanks

maybe someone else can verify if non HIDS will plug into a hid plug. i guess it might just use 4 of the 6 pins in the plug but once again im not sure

it will not work. the prongs/connections are different. you will either need to cut off the pins and try to figure out which wires are for what and then souder them together, however you may still have problems as the non-hid wiring may not be rated to handle the higher intial power of the HID's. in other words you may end up lighting you car on fire. if you go this way I would suggest having a reputable automotive electritian hook this up for you. also don't forget to upgrade your fuses. I would actually suggest just buying an OEM HID Kit from Jun, he's a member on this board and well known for his kit. otherwise good luck.
