Exclamation Apply NISMO decals / stickers PLZ HELP!

Apply NISMO decals / stickers PLZ HELP!

GreetZ all,
My dealership recently botched the install of my nismo stickers. I have purchased the set that doesn’t have the huge lines running across the sides or on the hood. They accepted responsibility and will be removing and re-applying them for free.
Can somebody please tell me EXACTLY where these things should be installed? Please provide as detailed pictures as possible. Somebody who has the full nismo decal set, please tell me how to do the sides?! (see below).
  • Front Sticker: How far from the right edge of the hood?
  • Rear Sticker: How for from the bottom edge of the trunk, and how far from the right side of the trunk?
  • Side Sticker: How far bellow the mirror? Do they line up exactly with the beginning of the mirror?
Part 99992-RN041 (these are the white ones because my car is black)

Here is my car so you can look/point/laugh at what my dealer did to me. 3/4 are off, the passenger side sticker is too low, the rear is too high and to the left, and the front is too far to the left.

Please help me fix this heinous crime.

I even gave my dealer these pictures as guides:

BTW: The first and last pictures are from users of this forum, thankZ ZBoater for all your help. I can't remember whom I stole the Silver front picture from... but thanks to you too for posting on a similar thread.

I just need EXACT dimensions please; my dealer apparently doesn't understand pictures.

Gracias,

i did the hood decal myself. the new style nismo logo i got is slightly smaller than the decal that came with my graphics kit so i had to adjust the height. ill measure and tell you exactly what the spacing is on my car. i did them myself and didnt use the templates but im sure they are accurate

ill post them tonight

also ill post a link to a hi-res S-tune shot so you can see how nismo placed them. i based my placements off of it aswell.
Thank you for your help.

Does anybody else see the MAJOR difference between the red nismo and the blue nismo front stickers? Both of these cars where supposedly done by Nissan themselves so, which one is better is the question now? I can see where my dealer thought he should put the front sticker, based on the red picture.

yet the blue one has it like mc350z, right up against the body line of the hood.

Am I going crazy?

1. Front logo: I just might keep it where it is, this would be correct for the pictures of all the 2006 shown (see the red and the Nismo V2 bumper). If I change, it should rest against the sharp body line and point slightly south following the curve of the hood.

2. Passenger Side: Can somebody who has the complete kit please measure how far south from the mirror to place the sticker. The "o" should line up with the beginning of the plastic of the mirror.

3. Driver Side: Ditto, as 2, just the "n" instead of the "o".

4. The Rear: I just measured the distance from the side of the trunk to the "3" as 3 inches. And from the bottom of the trunk to the bottom of the "3" as .78 inches. Can somebody PLEASE double check this for me.

I have been known to be crossed or dyslexic.

Just put my Nismo logos on front and rear.

Front: "O" is 1/4" from driver-side hoodline, decal is 3/4" up from hoodline on each end (more in the middle because of the curvature of the hood)

Rear: Matching with the driver-side logo, the "O" is 2.75" from the passenger-side hatch lid edge, and the decal is 3/4" up from the bottom hatch lid edge on each end

I'll take pics later. When you install something yourself it never feels right. But I think these went on ok. Just taking forever to smooth out the last few remaining bubbles.

Cheers,
-Smoky

Ok, finally got the pics off the cam.

Still waiting for a couple air bubbles to work themselves out, but otherwise I think they came out quite well.

Of course, you never feel like anything you put on is straight, or aligned correctly. Even still I am having trouble finding any mistakes. I measured a gajillion and two times.

Lemme know what y'all think:

Thx!

I'm still staring at the one on the hood. One day I love it, the next I want to rip it off. Hard to tell. In this position I think they are all a little different.

If anything I think maybe my hood decal is a little too high. Gonna give it a few more days though before I start peelin.

Decals are where are the neurosis begin to surface. lol

Now, not to be a ***** (too late!)... but I think the hood decal is a little too high. I am basing my judgement from the following, look closely at the differences:

The wheel logos are neat. Nice touch!

I'm still gonna just keep staring at it for a few days. I've done the comparison that Lamaz did above.. And I did have that pic for reference... But the biggest issue I had with that pic specifically is that they use the "v2.0" Nismo nose. It changes the visuals a bit, especially because of the decorative convergeing hood creases that continue onto the v2.0 Nose, but not on the OEM nose.

So I did put it a little higher. 3/4" vs 10/16" or maybe 0.5" is what I'm guess the other pics use.

And ya there seem to be two flavors of hood decal position: flush bottom on the hood edge, or with that small gap.

I'm happy with the placement of the rear logo. Lamaz see my post above..I describe the measurements I used for each decal. 2.75" over and .75" up is what I think used for the rear.

I'll give the front another week. If it doesn't settle in my brain then I'll either just ditch it completely or try again. But I think I may like it. Kind of has an OEM look to it... any less of a gap on the bottom edge and I worry it may "look custom" rather than "look OEM", ya know?

Thx!
