Default Base Halogen to Xenon HID...

I know this has been discussed to death. But i'm still a little confused on some details.

I'm getting the complete Xenon Headlights from a guy I met(Harness and all). I know the Base Harness plug is a 4 pin and needs to be converted to a 6 pin to plug into the Xenon Headlight.

Can I go to the Nissan Dealership and get a harness that would act as some kind of "converter" or would one of Jun's Harness' from his Kit actually work to connect the 4 to 6 pin harness???

I would like to do this without having to splice or take my car and headlights to an electrician.

Thanks,
Frank.

What kind of set is it? I purchased the Polarion 4100K HID's from XenonFactory.com for my Denali and I am extremely happy with the quality. The package comes with rebased bulbs (to fit my 9005 projector housing), ballasts with built in igniters, relays and all the wiring. Took about 30 minutes to install everything. You might be talking about something totally different but I hope that helps.

if you are trying to install the factory HID it's not worth it go out and get a plug and play aftermarket kit.

^^^ If you do decide to go the aftermarket route I would highly recommend ordering the Polarion set from Alex Hsu over at XenonFactory.com. The 4100k kit that I purchased has a pure white look to it (absolutely no yellow whatsoever) with a tint of blue. Alex is very helpful and even sent me a free replacement relay when mine went out.

Here's my situtation, I just bought some HID equipped headlights for my Base. I know there's a plug difference, but if I get a HID equipped headlight harness will it plug directly in, or do I need to splice? I would imagine it would kinda be the same as an aftermarket set up minus the plug and play.

Factory kit was pretty easy to install and a lot cleaner than the aftermarket kits. You don't have to find a place to mount anything.

Hey, Glenn. My phone is off. But i'm definetly still interested, I'll give you a call tomorrow. I get my car back wed. so we can meet up then.

CS Z33: do you have any writeups on how you did the splicing and stuff. I would greatly appreciate that. Someone told me to go to clearcorners.com and they could do it. But they haven't responded to my emails yet.

On the 05 base the halogens have 6 prongs.

On the 06 Xenon lights, they have 7.
