4 point harnesses are not allowed in any form of racing that has rules for harnesses. But, if you want the look of someone that dosen't know the reason for harnesses, go for it!
That said, I raced SCCA in the 70's with 4 point belts. A lot has been learned since then.

If you look closer around the website, they have a 5 point harness solution.
