Question Aftermarket Steering Wheel and Airbags

I heard somewhere that if you replace your stock steering wheel with an aftermarket steering wheel that ALL of the airbags will be disconnected. I have a MOMO Jet steering wheel and a MOMO steering wheel hub adaptor. The stering wheel hub adaptor says it comes with the wiring for the airbag delete. Basically, what I am getting at is this...Does anyone know if ALL the airbags will be disconnected if I install my MOMO Jet steering wheel? I don't mind me having no steering wheel airbag, but I would feel like crap if I was in an accident and NONE of the airbags worked and I had a passenger. Any help anyone could give would be GREATLY appreciated! THANKS

If the airbag light is on, most likely the airbags are not oging to deploy. Just use the wires to fool the car thinking that you still have your steering wheel airbag, then the light will be off.

as long as u can figure out a way to disable the SRS light, the it'd be fine.

Does anyone know if there is a module that is sold that will fool the computer into thinking that the airbag is still in? I searched for airbag delete in the search tool, but didn't find anything. ANY help would be AWESOME!!!!!!!! Thanks....

by the way...the wires that came with the momo hub adapter did not work. There was only one set and there are two plugs in the steering wheel.

fyi...momo hub adapter was crap. it cracked right where the shaft goes through the hub adapter. so for now the stock wheel is back on, WITH the airbag light blinking...

Also remember, if you remove your airbags, your car insurance may be voided too.

I briefly thought about that...briefly. Seriously though, i have had other vehicles with aftermarket steering wheels and even after accidents when they came to inspect my car, they never looked at the steering wheel. Hopefully my luck will continue. Thanks tho!

Get the airbag sensor resistor kit from www.airbagonoff.com. That's what I used and it works. The resistor supplied from MOMO did not work.
