Has anyone e-mailed or called them to see what kind of discounts they would offer on a group buy? If no one has I will shoot them an e-mail.

I am defiantly interested, just would like to bring it down in price a bit. Shaving is more expensive yes but not ALL that much more so.

This is the e-mail I received back from them, need 10+ people to get a 10% discount, also they clarified the back up battery a bit.

Aaron,
I'm glad to see all of you 350z guys talking about our product on the forums. We can definetly do a group buy for you.
- Facilitate a group buy of 10 or more vehicles
- We are willing to give a 10% discount
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I also wanted to clarify on some questions about the backup battery system. We suggest putting a backup battery in each door that is fitted with our Magic Touch system. You can use one of the backup batteries to power the keyless entry circuit so that even if your battery dies you can still use your unlock button on your keys. If you have any questions contact me here at sales@lafranceautoworks.com

Thank you for your time
Cole

It will be more than 800 b/c it would not be smart to do this setup with out a backup battery.

Since the price is a bit high I don't know if we will get 10+ but I feel it is well worth the money, b/c I feel the stock handles cheapen the car.

The discount doesn’t seem all that impressive, but better than nothing none the less.

10 x $840 = $8400

10% of $8400 = $840

That is still $7560 in sales off of 10 people, I dont know what R&D or cost to produce are, but I would imagine there is room for an increased discount.

How exactly would you go through the hatch, it's electric.

I don't get how this works, you touch the sensor and what? Does it include solenoids or something?

you touch the outline of your door handle and it pops open a few inchs...thats it

i think they def need to do better then 10%...still a lot of money...

i mean i def want it...but i still got a body kit waiting to get fitted and painted so i cant spend $800 on this right now

and def need the backup battery also

Whats the purpose of this really? Is it just that appealing to you all since for some reason you dont like the handles? Because how hard is it to simply open the door as is? I mean I'm sure its cool looking and would do it for no more than $100 but $800 for a convenience that could leave you sol without a backup battery just seems like a waste.

I think the stock handles make the car look cheap, that is why I want this. If you look up some of the members with shaved door handles it looks SO much cleaner.

I would be willing to go pretty high for this, b/c shaving the door handle is quite expensive, but 800 does seem like to much to me even with 10% off.

There is no way the parts required to make the kit add up to any where close to 800. R&D doesnt seem like it would be to costly for somthing of this sort either.

still interested, waiting for tax return before i can commit to a gb.

its got to have some way to pop thedoor open, maybe it uses the same things for when you shave your door handles.

dont forget, they come painted for that price....

a 50 dollar battery? if someone buys one, im sure we can get a battery w/ the exact same stats for like 10 bucks or less. Its a battery! they do very few amazing things.

agree with you...

$800 with 10% off is still crazy for a sensor and a painted plate
