Super weird noise coming from the Z(help)

Well I was in Daytona Beach, FL for a show yesterday and when I shut the car off and pull the key out a weird alarm like noise stated to go off.
So I put the key back in and turn the car on and the noise stops.

The car did not even need to be on; as long as the key was in there the noise would not happen. The second the key came out the noise started.

The problem just simply disappeared after about three or four times of me pulling the key out and putting it back in to show some of the other guys
WTH- was going on.

Any input on the situation?

i know it does that when the lights are left on...not sure what else would make it beep.

yeah its the headlamp alarm. funny thing is it doesnt do it all the time in my car either.

I don't think so, it was a diffrenent noise then that of when you take the key out and still have the head lights on.
Plus the headlights were not on, that was the first thing I checked.

oh i know what you are talking about. its a loud horrible buzzing sound. my car has only done this a few times and it really startled me. i mean it sounds like your car is about to self destruct. but i asked about it and others said it had to do with headlamps being on
