On a serious note, I like it with stripes but thats just my opinion. I say do what you like but you definetly get my thumbs up.

The only way I would do stripes would be the follwing:
On a ppw or other light color, with a CF hood. I would leave those grooves unpainted(like the ppw a couple responses ago) so you could see the weave there. Actually I would leave the stripes and also leave "NISMO" unpainted CF toward the right front edge of the hood with the O painted red like the logo. With tons of clearcoat overtop I think it would look hot.
I think that would look pretty cool but otherwise I am not a huge fan of the stripes idea. The Z is already to vertical a design compared to the 300ZX. In my taste stripes just make it look even taller than it is.

Hmm stripes are tricky... Could be really nice but could also be really tachy depending on the rest of your car, color, size and width of the stripes etc...
I think with the right combo it can be really nice!
Nickgundara, very original and nice strips you got there!
Really like the black Veilside with the medium wide white stripes:

For me the V3 is abit too "extreme", but i wouldnt call it rise.
THIS IS RISE:
