Default Front Empblem Removal

I bought the Courtesy Parts Z Emblems and want to install them but have no idea on how to remove the stock emblems.
I read somewhere that a hair dryer would do the trick but I have no outlet in my garage.

Are there any other ways?

The hair dryer is the best way to remove it since it loosens the glue Tom and also some fishing line.

what i did was soak the emblem in goo gone, and then heated it up for about a minute and then sawed it off with some fishing line (making sure to pull towards me to avoid the paint). when it gets to the point that you can't saw anymore just start over. then when you get it off you use a microfiber and the goo gone to get rid of the rest of the adhesive (sp?).

If you don't care about the old emblem, you can do what I did.

I stuck a small flat screwdriver downwards into the horizontal part of the emblem. Just enough so that the tip of the screwdriver was beneath the emblem. I then leveraged the emblem off by pushing the screwdriver forward (towards the car).

The tip of the screwdriver was under the emblem to pry it off. The upper part of the screwdriver laid against the top of the emblem as the anchor point.

Then get some goo-gone and get rid of the left over mounting tape.

The front Nissan emblem is stuck on with just adhesive? I thought it had screws or something? Guess I was wrong

you can always use some waxed dental floss if you can get behind the emblem, but the hai dryer is the fastest and most effective method.

the rear has double sides tape aswell and two prongs going into the car. ( i think only the 2003 and maybe 2004? have the prongs and holes in the rear.
thats what my eclipse had (00') i realise its totally irrelevant but when and if you order new emblems make sure you get them in the right size
(what i didn't do). and you can see the oem mount points.

ok, I just finished doing the front and rear emblems
I used Goo Gone and a plastic spatula. Getting the old emblem off was ultra easy but getting the old goo off, damn that took forever.

Also the rear emblem does not have the little bumps to fit the emblem right, that was a bit of a challenge.

It looks really cool
I'm happy
