question about lowering and headlights
Hey guys,i was just wondeing. If you lower your car, do you have to adjust your headlight bulb up to it makes up for the drop? After lowering my car, i feel like alot of my light is on the ground and not enough out.
i didn't. However, if you want, go here:
http://www.hypersprite.com/z/auto/default.htm
check under: Headlight adjustment for the 350Z

On oem springs, the headlight beam was already low on mine (I can only see from about 2 car lengths). I readjusted after lowering and now can see atleast 5+ car lengths ahead. I followed the instructions on HyperSprite.
After lowering the hottest spot was at around 23.5" from the ground. I went with the hypersprites 27.5" and there is a huge difference at night.

I have been meaning to add this to the web page but I need to get some measurements of a stock ride hight car.
If the car is lowered, reduce the 27.5" by at least as much as its lowered.
Example: If the headlights are 1" closer to the ground, try 26.5".
Otherwise what happens is they start angeling upward and although it's only 27.5" at 8' feet, it could end up much higher at fifty to one hundred feet and and dazzling oncoming drivers is not a good thing.

i put a long philips screw driver down the headlight into that toothed wheel and was turning for hours without being able the rotate the wheel
i wrapped some masking tape around the tip of the screwdriver to make it thicker/grippier, and the toothed wheel now likes to turn for me
