First all, happy easter everyone. I had time this morning to take apart the Z and finally test fit to see if my Fiberimages CF fenders that i designed liked over half a year ago actually fit--
well, took me about two hours going slow taking apart the passenger side fender and marking down all the bolts.. i didnt have my dremel kit with me so i couldnt shave down the xtra material left over from the mold process, so when i actually cut and drill the holes after i get them painted, it will fit much better, even with my preliminary fitting using painters' tape, they fit almost 95% good-- i'll let the pictures speak for themselves-
Before:

Removal of the Fenders

Comparison of OEM and my CF fenders

Test Fit *remember, i didnt drill any holes yet and only semi attached the front bumper, i just wanted to see how the general fitment was and what it would look like prior to painting it.. *

Whew.. conclusion, they look cool, i gotta shave down some material and get
it finalyl mounted, but overall.. happy..!! they ARE 5mm wider, but you can barely notice...

pretty tight... seems to fit relatively well, jus get a heat gun, or if you have a torch, and heat up the c/f and mold it to fit right, bolt it all up, heat it up again, and then slowly cool it, and youll be all set
I think you are actually the only person in the world that Fiber Images actually makes parts for..They never answer the phone or emails...Are they still in business?
The vent looks like it will be very effective in spewing rocks down the side of your car, chipping your doors and sides..Other than that, hotness!

reason for vents: reduction of overall wheel drag @ high speed.
yes i might be putting a mesh at the opening, that was with the fenderliner removed- i'll probably end up cutting a hole in the plastic to put the mesh,
as for the splash up during the rain, oh well, i actually hope there will be splash up so i know it works!
I truly mean this when i say it: Good Luck contacting FiberImages.
That is why i'm trying to find a reputable company to make my fenders. hell, more the marrier so we can get it on the streets.
i intend on painting the fenders blue, and leaving the vent in CF, and possibly a CF strip @ the top mating with my CF hood-
Instructions for Fender removal:
1. Remove front bumper. 6 plastic clips on top, unclip undertray, two 10mm bolts on each side and the front bumper can come off-
2. Remove side skirts. 6+ or so plastic clips near the kick plate and two front, three rear need to be popped off, along with 2 clips in front of rear tire, one behind front tire, and about 6 or so metal 10mm screws underneath side skirt.
3. Remove Head light. short 10mm on the side, two long 10mm underneath headlight, one long 10mm ontop. Unclipe blue wireharness and take off headlight
4. from engine bay: two 12mm bolts directly above headlight, along with 4 10mm bodycolored bolts with two plastic clips holding in weather stripping and battery enclosure box, open door: single 10mm bolt on the side, directly on the bottom of the fender, should be 2 10mm bolts.
5. Optional: removal of fenderliner: 6 self tapping metal screws, and 6 plastic clips will remove the fenderliner, allowing ease of installation for the fender.
cool!! hope that helps.
