Somewhat steep driveway..what to do?!
Ok..I had a revelation while returning home from work Sunday: my driveway is a pain to get up. I have to go up slowly, approach from a certain angle, and even then I only have about an inch of space to deal with. That puts somewhat of a nut into my plans...so...does any of the Nismo front bumpers really extend the nose down and out very much? I don't want to go buy a kit (esp the V2 and its price) only to find out its damn near impossible to drive.
Also..has anyone else had this problem..with where you live and the limitations. What did you do? I was thinking about maybe just getting a lip (but maybe that'd be broken) or a CF insert or something. Ack..this is a horrible, horrible dilemma!

lol..man..i'd have to practice like a **** too. B/c if i crack it on the ride home, I think i'd end up killing someone.

lol..ill take a pic when i'm back there. No i'm not lowered..I figured i'd do sways and i'd be fine. I enjoy the stock ride height..but its like..if I go up it i'm usually clear, but if i rush i'm not. Going down..I go down around 2 mph. Maybe 1.

No. Stock 17's. They were next, but you know, i'm thinking ahead here. I have a look in my head, and then that look shattered when I came home this weekend lol

Same problem as you. The Nismo aero is fine for me. Like he stated, you need to angle it a bit more , and what is better is that its poly urethane so you wont crack it. Some scratchs on the bottom, but it happens =)

i figured you were still on stock rims, once u get aftermarket ones, youll 99% chance say goodbye to not being lowered. so prepare lol.

lol..you mean even if I go UP in size, i'll need to be lowered? Eh..I don't really like lowering a car anyway..I just want the Nismos. Love the look.
Damned driveways. And damn PA while we're at..hills and whatnot.
Will a kit sustain those scratches, or will they just shatter? I know you said they are meant, but I dunno..I've seen plenty of F'ed up kits..

My urethane nismo type bumper scrapes when going up and down my driveway. I think it dropped the front by an inch or two from stock. You can see my driveway isn't too high.

Well I haven't scraped lately..just a couple times really..it is a *****, I tell you that. I'll take photos friday..of the car on the driveway and then we'll all sit down and do the math and figure out if it'll bloody work!

i cant go in my slope drive now with my greddy lip.... so i back in far enough to where the front doesnt hit the ground and thats it...or i live with a street spot right in front of my house

Ack. That bloody street..not a bad one, that's for sure, but i sure do like my car up top. Hmm. perhaps I could make my own driveway...

well i've tried several different angles but for some reason if the driveway is even a little steep, my wheel will be stuck in the air. if it's a right turn, my right wheel will be up in the air and vice versa.
how am i supposed to take it up the driveway?
