$704 to re-paint scratch marks on the passenger side of the rear bumper, where the splash guard is, and to replace the splash guard (cracked).
$830 to re-paint and install brand new rear bumper cover + splash guard.
4 days to do it all. Or, ~ 450 to get a bumper cover + paint it, and then do it myself? Don't know how much of a job it is to re-install the bumpercover myself...

Just wanted to see what you guys think?

well they have to repaint the whole bumper and not just the passenger side, but still i think it might be a bit high, but if its a good quility job, i bet it would be worth it. where are you getting this done?

It sounds about right. I'm a shop manager and after removal of the bumper, repair time and then refinish time it's about right. I don't suggest that you paint it yourself. Automotive paint is tricky and if you don't know what you're doing it's just going to end up looking like complete crap. Let the professionals do it. Also think about using your insurance company... you'll only have to pay your deductible instead of the whole deal. Oh yeah the fours days is too much... most bumper jobs are usually 2 days.

Repainting the rear bumper + installing it they said 1 day. Total of ~ 830, or install it myself and save ~ 150. (rear bumper cover + splashguard = 400, and painting + labor + install is about 350 including the paint (which is 75). So materials (paint) + bumper cover + splashguard = 450. I guess painting and installing sounds about right for 350, although i haven't done this before. But this is a body shop nissan uses, so most likely they've seen the Z before.
