Default Is this Emblem salvagable?

I bought this used Z emblem from a forum member and this is what I discovered on the backside of the emblem. Is it salvagable? If so, what can I do to make it ready to be put on the car?

Thanks.

That's the double sided tape that comes on them to stick it to the car. Peel it off, and yes it's a pain to do, then replace it. Hopefully that ans. your question

I wouldn't say a big sheet but you get the Idea.
If you go to Wal-Mart's paint department where all of the tape is you'll find it there. It's labeled as double sided exterior mounting tape, look for the red liner seperateing the two sticky sides.

The best way to remove it from the emblem is to spray on adhesive remover to soften it up a bit then remove. Note( don't let the adhesive remover dry before attempting to remove)
Have fun!

Where can you get sheets of the stuff if you want to try nd replicate the adhesive backing the emblem came with, as opposed to piecing one together?

I've never seen it sold by the sheet, only by roll. It comes in a about 1" in width or a 1/2" width.
At Super Wal-Mart the 1" wide roll is in the paint section of the store where all of the mounting tape is. The .5 inch wide one is keeped by the automotive side of the facility next to the body repair stuff.

What I would do is get the 1/2 inch one and put it on the emblems rear, cut off any excess or exposed tape with a sharp razor.
