stop dash ratteling

Default stop dash ratteling

is ther a guide how to take the dash apart step by step? i hate that ratteling on my z. it's so anoying.

how is it help by taking them apart?

hummm it rattels right where the defrost air comes out so i would check maybe a screw might be loose or i could figure out something to stop the ratteling maybe use some kind of padding. sorry i didn't explaind my self..

You take it apart and put felt tape on the area that the plastic is rubbing or vibrating against each other. This was the tsb solution for the rearview mirror and others have taken apart the dash to do this as well.

Here is the tsb for the rearview mirror where they tell you to put cloth tape to reduce rattle: http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/.../NTB04-106.htm

i know but i need instructions on how to remove the dash or how to get to that defrost section
