Default Passenger Window comes down 1/3 automatically. Why?

If my top is down and I click the auto up for the windows both my windows will go up, then my passenger side will drop down about 3 inches and stop. I then have to push up again to bring it to the top.

Anyone else have this issue and or fix?

Mine is currently doing some weird stuff do. It normally drops 1/4" when the door is opened, then back up after the door is closed.

It is now dropping 2" and not going back up. It will not go back up even with the switch until I push down first. I am thinking something in the window switch got messed up as I was playing around with the doorskin off to install new mirrors. I may need to disassemble again this week and make sure that switch and all wires are working correctly.

hmm, issue is I haven't messed with anything. It just started doing this on it's own. We'll I have to go in for an oil change, so I'll just ask them. It's brand new, so shouldn't be an issue.

Look in maintenance this is a well known issue with our Z's, mine does it as well. I need to get inside th edoor panel and adjust the stop, not worth leaving the car at the dealership 1 day for it....

My driver window does this as well but I did have the whole door replaced and I doubt the body shop adjusted whatever needed to be adjusted. What bothers me the most is that my windows will creep down while I'm driving and the wind noise is irritating.

Mine too! It's a known thing. I thought it was more related to cold weather but now its spring. Kind of ghetto but to get the window to stay up, I just scroll it all the way up and use the lock window feature for the passenger side.

Motor/regulator replacement will fix your problems. I just had mine done at the dealership. If you are still under warranty it will be free of charge. And if you have the extended warranty you will most likely be charge a $50 deductible.

Here is a link from the Nissan help website:

The motor/regulator thingie needs to be reset. This is a common problem on all Nissan/Infinitis with the autoup feature.
