Just something I toy'd with today. Not complete by any means, but I've found that there is a way to accomplish LEDs in the '06 reflectors.

Awesome dude. I'm very interested in this. I was thinking about getting some clear reflectors and possibly putting LED's in them to use as fog/parking lights. Keep us updated!

You can use Luxeon IIIs.... I have 4 of them in my flashlight with a regulator. I'm pumping about 600 mA max, and they're good for turn signals. Make sure they get some heatsink surface area and you'll be fine.
Heck, I modded my tiny keychain light with a single Luxeon III. :-)
I wanted the Luxeon K2, but they're hard to get. Anyhow, the white is blinding! ahahah

Very true. The diffuser (reflective piece) disperses the light a lot better than the previous pieces. I may opt to upgrade to an '06 style bumper just so I can put them on my car.

it appears he placed his in the recessed section between the screw holes.
Ive taken the reflectors totally apart, and can say there are 3 peices to it. the grey backing, the clear outer shell, and a 3rd seperate reflector peice inside.
you can get through the grey and not into the 3rd inside peice, and if you do, that would yeild the best results for that LED placement. its a very very short clearance in there though, so you'll likely need a drill press to have a shot at making that hole without going into the reflector part.
you could go straight through the reflector part, but then you wont get the diffusion from it.

thanks ares.. mostly i wanted to see it because there's not enough room in that resess for 3 rows (which it looks like he has), and if you go outside the recess, you're awful close to the edge..
