Default how much should i pay to have a sploiler painted/installed?

I currently have the OEM spoiler, and I want a replica nismo spoiler to take its place. I understand I'll need the replica to cover the OEM holes. I've found a good deal online (200 + shipping, or 300 painted + shipping). I think I'd like to buy it for 200, and have it painted and installed locally... I called a couple places and was quoted ~300 to paint/install?? Seems a little high!

What are you guys paying? Is there someone in the bay area I should know about for this?

if you are in SJ, go to Tommy Auto Body. Lots of us (350Z owner) go there for paint job. Tell the owner (Mr. Gia) that Alex with the Blue Z send you down. He will take good care for you.

However, if online sell you $300 spoiler + paint, TAKE THAT DEAL. I don't think any body shop will do it for you for $100.

Here is my recommend:

* Get the spoiler painted by Ebay store. You can install by yourself or come to Tommy Auto Body and they will install for you.

Thanks guys, I'll call Mr. Gia later today for some prices.

I think it makes the most sense to buy it painted online, its actually from spoilerdepot.com not ebay. You think having it painted to match factory year/color would work? It's an 04 though, and I don't garage it so it's possible it's faded a little bit... I'd be concerned about having it painted in advance... but then again for $100 it might be worth a shot! Anyone have experience ordering a painted spoiler from spoilerdepot.com ?

I'm doing research on opinions on spoiler depot.com... see what people are saying about their paint jobs. If the general consensus is positive, I'll order and I'll post results.

honestly I won't ever buy anything prepainted from an online store. I ordered my nismo replica that way and the coloring isn't that great, but whats worse is it looks like they never even prepped the wing before painting it. its horribly uneven and bumpy across the entire deck. I would also suggest you make sure you can live with the spoiler before you do it because its a permanent thing. meaning if you change you mind later you'll probably have to buy an entire new hatch because it'll cost you more to (properly) fix the holes.
