Default light up your feet!

I am thinking of installing some light under the dash to light up the footing area... I've heard of some japanese co making orange light that are similar to the orange dash light...??? Has anyone done something similar??

There are two kits, both "options" at purchase, but only available in Japan.


I got mine from Graham at Japanparts.com. If I ever get around to installing them I'll post some pics.

the footwell lights (in front) are white, while the illumination kit that glows under the seats is amber. I beleive both styles can be changed (color) with those little colored bulb condoms.

did you get both the foot well light and the amber illumination? how difficult was the installation? where did u connect the power source?

i've requested a quote from japanparts.com!!!

Orange is ok I guess if you have LeMans, which you do. But otherwise I'd get white or maybe color match it w/ the color of your Z. Orange (lighting) just seems to be a bit tacky (bit 80's) to me for some reason. Again, I'm sure it'd look hot w/ your lemans though.

let us know how the install went!!! where does it plug-in/connect to? not the power outlet??? or u have to slice some wires...???
did u get both, orange light for under the seat and the white light for footwell? how long did it take for those people to get back to you? I've sent them order request a few days ago and have not heard back yet...

it's under "interior - other" -- amber illumination - 120 bucks.

gonna do it after i get all the mods i have purchased already installed. (custom stereo, grounding kit, pop charger, fog lights and custom grill insert, painted engine cover & battery cover & brake bluid cover and a few other odds and ends)

The kit uses the plug where the ashtray light would go if you had oredered the smokers package. It gets it's power from there...
