Default Turn Signal Bat Overlays, Help!

OK I have been searching for 2 days and have come up with nothing, so my appoligies if this has been discussed before. For the turn signal overlays, do you have to remove the lens and then apply it or is everyone just applying them straight to the car?
Thanx for the help!

OVERlays.... you put them on over the lights. They are cut to fit over it. Just apply them with some soapy water so you dont get so many air bubbles.

Z33Benny...Thanx I understand how to put them on, I am just Curious if for the turn signals folks are removing the turn signal unit to put on the overlays OR just doing it with them still on the car?
