is this normal? or does it need some grease job....?

center console... you talking nav compartment, or the thing between the seats, nav is slow, but cool.

center compartment, that sometimes sticks for some people, and rarely opens completely on its own.

i was refering to the thang between the seats... it rarely opens completely by itself... and sometimes takes about 5 sec!!!

The nav door works fine... wishing to get a REAL alu br version!!! HA!

I thought there might be a fix for the slow opening! It was noted on that complaint list with multiple responses...

the springs seem to be too weak to open it, but the sticking seems to come from the pads, after time they stick, not sure anyone has a fix, I dont have the problem, just reguritating what other people had said.

weak spring does makes sense.... Yeah, something sticky is going on... If i don't open it for a while, it sticks... if I "play" with it... it oopens fine.... sounds like some...... never mind!
doesn't sound like WD40 will fix it...
thanks for the info!!

My console compartment opens slow as well. However, between the drink holders being behind me & the minisule storage space I seldom open it. I added an "organizer" that goes behind the seat on the back of the passenger seat. It holds a soft drink just as well & is easier to reach; plus there are several other compartments to hold other stuff.
