Default rear badge removal

Does anybody knows if the rear badge on an '06 is attached via 3M tape, screws or pins? I tried removing it with very strong dental floss and it did not work. It seems to get hanged up on the top or bottom of the bagde. May be it has pins that go into drilled holes in the trunk lid? Any help would be appreciated

It is attached with 2-sided tape. There are 2 pins used for alignment. Had mine off before i even took ownership from dealer.

350z logo is held to the car with some sort of putty glue, which should come off with a flat tool of some sort. Nissan logo, when taken off, will reveal two holes side by side. You may have to get at these from inside the hatch lid. In my opinion no matter how careful one is, a new paint job will be called for. And you may as well remove the wiper motor, rear wiper, cap off the wiring, & weld in the quarter sized hole at the same time as well. Hope this helps you--rich, san jose, ca

My '06 emblem was stuck wiht some type of foamy tape. Just let my car sit in the sun all day and in the afternoon just pulled it off and came off clean.

I agree .. debadging the whole back and putting a FairladyZ emblem in the middle looks hot.

Which "badge" are you talking about? The 350Z is taped on, while the Nissan emblem is mounted in two small holes, one on each side. I had the bodyshop shave mine off by welding the holes shut and spot-painting when they installed my spoiler.

I also got the rear wiper completely shaved off; steel reinforced from underneath and then spot-painted. The entire hatch was then sprayed with clear.

Not the best pic, I admit. It was high-res but after being resized a half dozen times, the pixelation is obvious.

i removed ALL of my "nissan" and 350Z logo last week. Just 3M tape. No hole. This is 05 Z.
