Default I think my seat squeeks

Well im not sure what this noise is, but when i hit a harsh bump and it moves my body, it seems like the back of my seat will more a little and make a squeeking sound. IF i try to move the seat by hand it wont make the noise but on the road it happens often! What do i do!?

Is the seat rubbing up against the plastic behind it? I found that if mine is reclined too far, it will rub.

Damn, I thought I was the only one with this thing. I hear a very, very, faint squeek from either the passenger seat or the arm rest area between the two seats. I hear it every once in a while. Not sure where it's coming from, though.

My seat squeeks a lot!

This technical bulletin describes a problem with the fist year/s. When I referenced it to the dealer, they told me this doesn't apply to later models (apparently this bulletin is for 2003s). Therefore I got no resolution. Let me know if you figure out what to do.

NTB03076
IF YOU CONFIRM: When tuning left or right, · The driver's seat makes a "click" noise, and/or · The driver's seat moves side to side (left or right), ACTION: · Install special washers between the seat thigh support adjuster and the sliding and reclining device-inner and outer (see Figure 1). See this bulletin for further detail.

mine squeaks horribly i can even press it with my hand and make it squeak...is this a problem that the dealer should fix? also its not rubbing anything...the seat can be in any position and the sound is coming from under the seat or like in the seat...i would look and try to figure it out myself but i cant get my seat out as the bolts are too tight for a hand wrench and i cant get the bolts off...

use a pipe on the end of your wrench... just make sure that the socket you are using is on the bolt all the way... and if you feel it moving, but dont hear a snaping sound(the bolt breaking loose) STOP right away because you are striping the bolt.. try using a 6 tooth socket first (the one without a bunch of little teeth inside) because usally the multi-tooth sockets will just slide when alot of pressure is applied

ok guys well after not knowing what exactly was making the noise, i went outside and started harrasing the seat. The sqeek occurs when you sit down in it, so the bottom cushion makes the sound. I suppose its the metal weave of bars under the fabric that makes this noise. Im going to my dealership and giving them hell thanks again

I'll prolly take mine in when I get my car back too. That squeek could drive a man krazy. I can hear mine over the radio sometimes!
I just hope they don't f something up.

My drivers seat makes a clicking noise and it shifts going around even slow speed corners, like in a parking lot.

Does anybody have a link as to where to install the washers? I would like to know where they go and if I can find similar at a hardware store, I'd like to just fix it myself instead of having a nightmare with the dealer.

The shifting and noise is driving me nuts, to the point where I'm considering aftermarket seats, that I don't want to buy.

I took mine to the dealer because of this and they told me that there is a 1year / 10,000KM limit on interior squeeks and rattles. Thanks Nissan!
