The clips don't even touch the paint, just the black rubber around the bumper.

Don't do it if you don't like it. Engine temp hasn't moved at all. By the size of the air intake tube, the opening in the grill required would be much less than is avail.

Nah man, it looks sweet. I definitely like it, it just looked like it might decrease airflow. I'm considering it.

I bought my grille form Grille Tech and the install was so easy. Didin't have to remove the bumper. I ordered the black race style which is perfect. It does not look cheap. It came with black tie strap. It is so clean, it has a thin rubber piece that goes around it it doesn't scratch the bumper. Great investment. Already was told how clean it looks. I'm happy with it.

WESTPAK...why did you install the clips like that? I was easily able to go from behind and clip them from behind...the attached from the inside for me and hold fine. you cant even see my clips

had to do a little bending but I love the grill.

The clips attach it to the outer edge of the bumper hole, on top and bottom.

As for the plate, if it is on the bumper you would have to take it off to install but put it back on after installing the grill, if you have the alternate plate mounting that some have using the tow hook hole then you would have to cut the grill to allow for an opening.

That's the one I'm looking at for my CS. How about posting a few pics.

Is it just me, or does it seem as the grill has a curve to it? Doesn't seem flat, might just be me though. Anyone with it, if you could let me know if it actually does curve?

And secondly, does anyone know if there is a grill which is more rows, and not the "mesh" looking one by Street Scene? Someone on Page 1 posted a picture with a ebay link, anyone know more about it?

I have the grille tech on my honda. I bought it mostly to protect my intercooler. It does a good job of that. The fitment kinda sucks and they raped me for shipping. All in all I guess you get what you pay for ($25). I certainly wouldn't put one on a Z. I would go for the stillen from what I have seen.

Cool

my street scene grill went in easily pretty easily. I had to cut and bend the grill is certain places, thought i was gonna mess it up, but after it went in, you couldnt tell. I installed my clips similar to VICE86, i went in from under the bumper... I did make a small scratch to my paint, but thats cause i was trying to make the grill fit, at first, then realized it to be trimmed and after it went in the tiny scratches became hardly noticible. If i had a little more patience there would have been no scratches at all. For its price, i cant complain.

I don't know about the braces look but it kinda reminds me of a Braun electric shaver. What is the grill made out of? Will it corrode or weather?

I think its an anodized metal and its not suppose to deteriorate in weather...I had the same type on my Grand Prix and after a year they were still fine.
