Default Plastic Undercarriage Cover?

I did a search and came up short (maybe because I don't know the exact name of it ).

Did you keep it on or off? If off, why?

On...

it will help diffuse the air under the car... keep a smoother flow of air under the car...

There are some front bumpers that dont allow for it to hook up, but I recommend finding a way to mount it, tie straps into small holes in the front bumper etc..

And the propper term is: Lower Engine Cover

Thanks Jason!

I am planning on installing the APR front diffuser. Aside from looks, I think its a good replacment for the lower engine cover. What do you think?

Im not familar with that one, but I am with the ARC.... which is an aluminum replacement to the lower engine cover, its a bit more durable and the good thing is it doesnt flex down and start to drag!

As long as somethign is there your good to go!

I have to drill small holes on mine when I got my Ings +1 bumper installed and I use zipties to secure it. The only downside that I have on this is I have to cut all the zipties when I do my oil change.

Actually, I would not recommend a lower engine cover for the 350Z. The car is made from Nissan with very specific guidelines.

What the hell are you talking about! If the car comes with one, then that is part of the guidlines already!

Im puzzled AND perplexed also-- It does come with one and as Jason says neccessary but I feel for another important reason ---Not only does it defuse the air underneath but it also aids in cooling by keeping the rammed air comeing thriugh the grill where it belongs

+1 on the above. At the very least, it keeps your engine bay looking nice. I saw a guy's Z that had been without the lower cover for a while and the engine bay looked FILTHY.

the version 2 bumper has holes for the lower engine cover so I am 99.9% sure it will work...
