ps: its called reappholstering(sp) lol. There are SO many shops all around that do that, and they dont charge that much. Its the quality of the leather that raiises the price up. Just dont use moose skin or something silly, ill **** on u. Alacantra leather would rock.

Full leather is usually too bulky i think. Alacantra has a very soft feeling to it. However, it does break down quite a bit faster. Its more resistant to fading. I was planning on doing it until i found the cost of appholstering the seats, some of the side pieces and dash.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were alacantra. Sure its fake, but it feels so so soft -.-
i was quoted 900 bucks for alacantra seats, 45 for each additional square foot of trim. Cheaper than racing seats, but..too expensive for my blood. I never went to look at other places. Im sure it can be had for around 600-800 bucks. It takes them 1 or 2 hours *** depending on how hard it is.
edit: hours not days

Brian, you should ask gimpster about this... he has his stock seats upholstered with alacantra down the middle and leather on the sides... basically making them look like S4 seats.
