Default Difference between Xenon and non-xenon Headlight HOUSING?

I tried searching, but the search engine doesnt get very specific with the searches. I went through like 10 pages of threads and didnt find my answer.

Anyhow... can someone tell me what the difference is between the OEM HID headlight housing and the NON-HID housing? I see their pricing is different, but when i look at both housings they look the same to me? Is it something in the back of the headlight thats different? Does it accept a different bulb? I have oem hid, but my housings are all messed up, and i need new ones

According to Acree, the HID headlights come with fresnel lenses and different internal reflector. And the halogen headlights have clear lenses.

Im curious ---The way I read it is that Acree is saying that applying black paint to some parts of the Xenon reduces reflectivity and the lense he is refering to is the lense on the bulbs not the housings ---The differant base for the Xenon bulb comes with the loom that fits in the Non xenon housing---Im painting my headlites this weekend and have been studying the parts of the Interior that will be hurt due to reduced reflectivity
The housings are the same ---- But because of the design of the xenon bulb compared to the non xenon differant interior reflectors have to be avoided as far as painting

Would make a good paper weight though ---Long ago after ravaging a sweet young thing all nite ,,I sent her packin and stuck a burger in the oven. I fell asleep and woke up like 6 hours later ---I used that burger for a paper eight on my dresser for yrs
