ive got the 06 headlights on my 05 and the indicators/turn signals stay off with the light on

the 4 led amber strip are on when the parker/headlight is on

you've prob just wired them up wrong. I dont think its the globe. I put chrome indicator bulbs in afterwards and they work just like the standard orange ones

obviously you have no working knowledge of how our cars are put together.
if you did you would know it is plug and play.

1 plug that only allows it to be plugged 1 way.

there is no wireing to be done.

someone with working knowledge of the car would know that.

now if you dont have anything helpfull to contribute as to why they stay lit on U.S. spec cars, then please dont post

Ok, I installed my 06's headlights in my 04' Roadster and I have the same problem with the turn signal bulb staying on... I thought about putting my 04' bulb in but the 06' bulb has a grey plastic piece that snaps onto the end of the bulb and then the plastic part snaps into the wire harness. Other than that the shape and size of the bulbs are the same, except the 06' one has two filament and the 04' only has one.

I thought about trying to take the plastic part of the 06' bulb but didnt want to chance breaking it.... I might go ahead and order and 06' replacement bulb and try and remove the plastic part off of that one and then snap it on the 04' bulb...

If anyone comes up with any better ideas let me know..

I'd like to know about this too. Just installed the 06 in my 03 and the parking/turn signal is on all the time...yuck. I'll try getting a single filament one today and see what happens.

Which wire do you clip to disable parking lamp?

Just cut one of the wires on it. Beware though that the bulb can be put in two different ways. So when you cut the wire and you think that it doesn't work when you put it back in, pull it out and turn it around and try it again.

Fact:

03-05 HID-spec headlamps use a single filament bulb for turn signal function.

Bulb type: WY21W

06-XX HID-spec headlamps use a dual filament bulb for parking/signal function.
Bulb type: 3157NA

If your car illuminates the signal dimly as a parking lamp, that can easily be resolved by simply clipping ONE of the wires that goes to the signal bulb. If notes are correct, the color of the wire is blue.

Cheers!
