I like the look of it. If you can get over the fact that you basically put on cheap ricey "chrome" door edging on you front grill, you can truly appreciate it. It definately looks better than the plastic grate that comes stock, and is more understated and elegant than a full-on billet grille.

I honestly think that if an add-on grill were sold like this for $100, everyone's perception would be different. Since it's done with about $10 of materia thoughl, there's a bad stigma that goes along with it that it's cheap and ricey.

just my 2 cents

I say keep it but re-do them. The top looks much better without that cut out for the tow hook cover. I did this to my old Z and loved the way it looked, people always thought I had an expensive custom grille.

i agree, redo the top strip and just keep a utility blade in the car. If you ever need to get towed, just make the two cuts in that area. If you don't like it after it's cut...big deal...you can just put another strip on!

JT - I agree 100%. The fact that they are cheap doesn't really bother me, what bothers me is that upclose they look cheap and the coating tends to chip and peel. I'm with you man on the Add on Grill for $100 maybe someone on this formum can come up with something and make some good money off of it. If anyone does, or has found something similar let me know.

Dont like them. I actually have these same strips sitting in my bedroom still.

Also, not a big fan of the lights.

Do what you like. You might not get attention like the guy who blew a lot of dough, but generally I think it will be appreciated by most people. I think it looks fine.

After cutting my strips, i super glued the cut edges to prevent the layers from peeling. However, being so low to the ground, they're bound to get beat up from sand and debris. I think the next time i put a set on, I'll spray them down with a few coats of duplicolor clear and see how that works out.

Do you really have to crazy glue the edging onto the grill?

You don't need to super glue the edging to the grill, but what i did was cut the strips to size, and super glue the cut faces of the edging before putting them on the grill.

Most people just push the edging on and allow it's own adhesive to hold it in place, but i decided to use a small bead of a 3M flexible silicon type as well.
