Default Removal of oem lower grill...............help??

Sorry if this is a repost I tried the search but no luck. Can someone explain how to remove the oem lower grill, do you have to cut, is it bolted in? I was thinking of some of the chickenwire like material painted black, a do it yourself project??

its part of the bumper... you would have to cut it out... easiest to remove the bumper if you want to cut it cleanly...

most just put grilles over the OE grille... the ones I have seen where people cut out the OE grille didnt look to great IMHO

its pretty hard to cut it out and make itlook good. pretty much would have to go to a body shop and get them to do it in my opinion. i looked into it awhile back and decided it wasnt worth it

After installing my own fog lights in the OEM grill. I can tell you first hand that the grill is part of the molding of the front bumper. Like Jason said above most people just place the new grill over the OEM. IF you want to remove the oem grill:
Jack up the front of the car (both sides).
Remove the bumper from the car.
With a Dremel, Carefully cut out the grill from the inside.
Sand down any rough edges
Now would be a good time to attach the grill, as you can reach both sides.
Re-attach bumper.

<----I did mine with a sharp utility knife without removing the front bumper at all, takes about 20 minutes...

Sorry about the Bra Guys, but I drive Highways all week and didn't think you would want to wait until the weekend to see pictures.

Very clean install. Looks great. That's exactly what I am planning to do, except I will be using 3.5" - 4" round lights.

Did you have to remove the bumper to do this, or can it be done just as easy from the front, without removing the bumper?

Yes the bumper had to come off. 1st for the wiring, second to cleanly cut out the grill, and lastly I mounted to the metal bumper under the plastic cover which could not have been done with the cover attached.
